HYGRO (R Gallery, Malta, 2024)

Collaboration with Honey Long

The word "hygro" speaks to moisture as a linking and leaking force. This series explores the interplay between liquidity and form, drawing on the mythological imagination of classical figures relegated to the ornamental margins. Through a surreal landscape of flesh and stone, animate and inanimate forms flow into one another, creating a shimmering web of material relations and looping cycles of life and decay.
