Phanta Firma reimagines classical aesthetics and cultural tropes of femininity, blending our own bodies with hyper-real landscapes. Inspired by Botticellian nymphs, classical sculptures, and sirens, our figures exude agency and self-assurance, challenging traditional portrayals of female sexuality. The inclusion of blown glass sculptures, incorporating water from our shooting locations, creates a tactile connection between the viewer, the figures, and the landscapes.
