Drinking from the Screen

Softening into bodily sensations and natural processes, Drinking from the Screen is a meditation on longing for the more-than-human world and our growing reliance on computer screens as a means of connection. Conceived as a massage for the eyes, the work features bodies pressed against glass, reaching out with thirsty mouths, feet, and bellies, seeking to connect with watery environs. In these moments, the processes of the body and the landscape converse, yet the screen persists as a barrier—mediating an unbridgeable space of longing and separation.
